FAQs
WHAT IS PERSONAL TRAINING?
Personal training to me is having a one-to-one training session, where I help to build plans, programs, goals and motivate you to achieve those. Being with you along the way to build you to perform safe movements and help with any questions you have during our sessions.
WHAT IS A CONSULATION?
A consultation is a private chat we have together which is completely confidential. This consultation is an integral part to the journey you are about to embark on. We will get to know each other, discus your current health situation and anything pre-existing. We will talk about some goals you have and any barriers that may get in the way of achieving those goals. The consultation should only take around 45-1hr, we can do this in person or via zoom. I will be taking some notes during the conversation and asking questions which relate to our chat, understanding what it is that you would like from this journey.
WHAT IS A MOVEMENT APPRISAL?
A movement appraisal is a session we have one to one normally after our consultation. I will ask you do perform a series of movements so we can gauge on where you are at physically, movements you might find difficult or unsafe. This does not need to feel like a test of sorts, rather just to see where you are at currently, doing this will help me build a plan as to where we need to start.
HOW DO THE BOOT CAMPS RUN?
Boot camps are a fun way to exercise in a group setting, normally outside on a Wednesday night at my home in Edgecumbe. They will run for approx. 45-1hr including a warm up and warm down. The bootcamps are a HIIT style of exercise with a series of different circuits, mainly focusing on all over body. It’s a fun way to meet new people, most people can join with min exercise experience as we can regress or progress much of the movements.
